The scenery in Stockholm inspired me to create works that are connected to nature. One can feel it closer here and water is also a large part of the landscape. This creates a conversation between people and natural elements, something I am exploring in my current paintings. The seasonal changes are also more delimited and light plays a great role in people's reaction to the environment. Water is an element that changes constantly and its fluidity speaks differently to each of us. In recent Conversations paintings, a monochrome blue invades the canvas, like a liquid environment transforming the historical references present in the scene. This approach aims to bring them closer to the contemporary viewer. How do we relate to elements of history today, how are they still relevant or inspiring to us? The series has also developed into text-based paintings that aim to capture moments from everyday life, a state between pasivity and action. In one of the diptychs the text is shaped out of water waves, creating the form of a thought.
