In “Reflections” I was preocupied to explore daily life in a series of mirror-works, an interpretation of our reality. The paintings were begun before the general pandemic context, but they can be also seen as a reflection of isolation, of landscapes and trails where few people are present, of reality seen indirectly. Sometimes it is an urban space reflected in nature that aims to capture the impredictible, fleeting moment. The documenting process for this series finds me in the role of the observer that brings together isolated scenes. Water is like a mirror that invites to reflection and also a background for the scenery. When moving waves are not to be found in a scene, their place is taken by reflective surfaces and everyday places are captured in a new dimension.
